A memorable customer experience can be expensive, but can cost you very little. Let me give you an example.
Putting wire stands in coroplast yard signs can be very frustrating. If everything doesn’t line up just right you end up with a warped sign that looks terrible. It usually takes a couple of tries to get the stand in the right position. This is not really a problem if you only have one sign, but your customer just bought thirty for an upcoming event. So… for the next 30 minutes they forget about the beautiful print quality and the fact that you met their impossible deadline; they’re just aggravated that these cheap wire stands are being so difficult.
By adding a couple of well placed dots to the bottom of the sign, all that frustration and wasted time is eliminated. Often, “the dots” are the thing a customer remembers long after the sale.
